Create Contacts

Contacts will be either created for company contacts or our trainees.

Please make sure, that for each contact you fill in at least:

 

  • Email !!

  • First Name

  • Last Name !!

  • HubSpot Owner !! (most likely you)

  • Job Title

  • Contact Type (Company Contact | if EP -> Trainee)

  • Gender

  • Phone Number !!

Create Companies

If you have not created a Contact, you can always create a Company and add the Contact later.

Please make sure, that for each company you fill in at least:

  • Company Domain Name !!

  • Company Name !!

  • HubSpot Owner !! (most likely you)

  • Account responsible (your name)

  • Account type (Exchange Partner)

  • Status !!

  • Phone Number (if Contact)

  • LC !! (city)

  • City (especially if it’s not in your LC city)

Please also make sure that each comapny is related to its contact. After you connected them both, every call or mail you track in the contact record is also visible in the company record.

Create Views

With “Views” you can filter and downscale the information displayed regarding your preferences. To create a new view, you have to first decide whether you want a “Contacts” or “Companies” view.

Eitherway, click on “create view” –> name the view as liked -> “add filters” -> choose the appropriate filter -> press the “save the view” button. ;-) 

Create Deals

A Deal in HubSpot is devided into Sale – Matching –Reception Pipeline and implies further interactions with a  Company starting with a set Company Meeting (CM). So when you schedule a company meeting you will create a Deal.

To create a Deal just go on your companies profile, scroll down and click “+ New Deal”.

This Deal will go through different stages until it either is closed, due to the company not being interested in a partnership or converted to the Match/Reception Pipeline. 

 

You won't be able to fill out everything when creating the Deal in the first place. But that is okay! You will fill it out on the go, when you raise the opportunity, match it etc.

Nevertheless, HubSpot askes you in a dialogue for different properties of the Deal. Please make sure, that in the beginning of each Deal you fill in at least :

 

  • Pipeline (select Sales Pipeline first)

  • Deal Stage

  • HubSpot Owner (most likely you)

  • LC

  • Internship Type

  • VP e-mail

  • Company

  • Contact (the person who you have the CM with or your contact person at the company)
